Hi,
I began the program on the 5th of February (about a month after my Dec 25th pic). Its now 18th July and I’m still going strong. So I thought I would send in my results so far.
The Program is FREAKING BRILLIANT!!!
Before I started your program, I was running regularly and working out sometimes, but I was still getting fatter…. and fatter. I didn’t really notice it until my friend took a photo of me at the beach. I was horrified!!!! I knew I had to do something about it, but I couldn’t move the fat. Everything changed when I started your truth about abs program. In the 6 months I’ve been on the program, I’ve lost 25.4 kg and gone from 30% body fat down to 11% body fat.

After applying the TruthAboutAbs principles
I then came across TruthAboutAbs and Mike Geary online and that’s when everything changed. I changed my running workouts completely and started doing his style of interval training instead and combined this with his unusual workout plans for weights (which are amazing by the way)– I now spend half the time in the gym (3 x 1hrs per week) and get at least 3-5x better results. Are you frustrated when you go to Gym and don’t see any result as you expect? Sometimes, we do routine workouts and do not see any physical change. It is disappointing and discouraging. This negativity led you to extremes. So what can you do to see real results when you work out? What is relation between muscle mass toning, diets and workouts? Is this the workout that should be blamed of alone or is it your diet?
One of the main culprit is “The diet”. It hold back 90% of the people from seeing the results that they desire. It is easy to go to gym but eating healthy meals day in and day out is not. The healthier the diet and the more whole foods it contains the greater the positive effect there will be on the endocrine system. So the question is “what is Endocrine System?”
The endocrine system is the system of glands, each of which secretes a type of hormone directly into the bloodstream to regulate the body. Although we rarely think about them, the glands of the endocrine system and the hormones they release influence almost every cell, organ, and function of our bodies. Too many people focus just on calories and not the source of the calories. The foods that you consume have a direct effect on the endocrine system and the endocrine system governs the human body. Measure the arm at the bicep (relaxed). The thigh at largest point and eat a raw foods diet that will really trim off the puffiness and water weight.
You also need to diet as well as exercise. Eat 3 well balanced meals a day or like me I have sugar so I have to eat snacks but can still lose weight.
Most women lean toward Cardio workouts when they would get better results from increasing their muscle mass. This is done by using heavier weights with fewer reps. As their muscle mass increases it will burn more calories for them throughout the day when they are not at the gym. This factored in with a high protein diet will bring faster results.
Now you will ask, “What are reps?” Well, when you workout you do sets. Sets are a group of reps. Say you are doing sit ups. You want to do 3 sets of ten reps. so you do 10 sit ups (ten reps).
Toning your muscles requires more reps in the exercise you’re doing. Building muscles mass requires more weight during the reps. If you’re trying to tone your muscles and not build them, complete your exercise with more reps per set, rather than with more weight. For example, if you use a 30 lbs weight for your arm curl and you complete 3 sets with 8 reps in each set, use a 15-20 lbs weight and complete 3 sets with 16 reps in each set.
“ Results don’t happen overnight”
They don’t even happen over the course of a week. It takes time to see results. Try taking a photo of yourself and marking down your current weight on the back. Follow your exercise and diet program for a full month or more. Then take another photo of yourself and notice the differences.
Patience is key…even if it causes frustration.
If you’re looking for a longer, leaner look as opposed to building muscle mass you need to move. You want to try and add some cardio along with body shaping or sculpting. There are a million cardio routines out there so pick one that works for you. When it comes to sculpting, use lighter weight and do more reps say 12-15 each exercise. If you’re trying to bulk-up, use more weight and less reps say 6-8. Whichever path you choose your last few reps should be difficult. If they’re not than adjust your weight so they are. For flexibility add some yoga and always stretch/warm-up to reduce the chance of injury.
NOTE: No body part(s) should be exercised more than 3x per week or you risk muscle damage and fatigue that will hinder your results.
In training everybody hits plateaus, those times when we no longer see results or they are minimal at best. This is normal and frustrating. When this happens it’s time to change your routine, muscle confusion is the key!
I would suggest that you consider modifying your routine every 4 weeks or so. The changes do not have to be drastic either, more weight or reps, adding a few minutes to your cardio routine etc.
Diet and exercise HAVE to go together if you want to see any results at all. If the commitment to diet is not there neither will the results you want. We are what we eat! Again, this varies to a great degree but a few basics,
Get your metabolism going, naturally! Eat 5-6 small meals a day. This keeps your metabolism going which in turn will help you shed fat.
Do not eat anything within the 3 hour time period before you go to bed. Hungry? Have a nice cup of hot green-tea or similar and this will help reduce your hunger pains. In addition, and here’s the great bonus to this, your body will begin to burn stored fat instead of digesting a late meal. Talk about fat-burning! This step is KEY!

If you exercise you NEED Carbs-period. Carbs will fuel your workouts so you need them or after a while you will have no energy reserves and your workouts will become more difficult .
Regarding cardio work, it is worth noting the amount of calories that you are burning compared to the amount that you intake daily. It is difficult to lose weight by just doing cardio alone, it takes longer times or a higher intensity level to get smaller from just cardio, adjusting what you eat can have more effect in that regard.
If you are frustrated with results from lifting weights, here are few tips:
Coordinate your breathing with your motion inhaling during contraction of the muscle and exhaling during the release of the muscle, time the breath to flow during the whole of each motion. Slow down your motion.Don’t swing as you lift weights.Work pulses into the motion in addition to full extensionStop at various spots during the motion for pulses and make sure that you feel from the pulse in the right part of the muscle that you are trying to work.Have you tried taking walks carrying weights? One friend was talking to his friend about why he cannot maintain his personal health and fitness. Why our forefathers or parents were more fit than we are. What is wrong with our food? Why we are becoming overweight? Why and why….
Our forefathers grew broccoli, cauliflower and spinach, green / yellow and red vegetables of all kinds on the earth. so Man and Woman would live long and healthy lives.
But now we have Ben and Jerry’s Ice Cream and Krispy Creme Donuts. Moreover, they ask “You want chocolate with that?” and Man says, “Yes!” and Woman says, “add some sprinkles on it”.
Result: They gained 10 pounds
Forefathers used to use the healthful yogurt that Woman might keep the figure that Man found so fair. And now-a-days they brought forth white flour from the wheat and sugar from the cane and combined them.
Result: Woman went from size 6 to size 14
Forefathers used, “Fresh green salad.” And now “Thousand-Island Dressing, buttery croutons and garlic toast on the side”.
Result: Man and Woman unfastened their belts following the repast (meal).
Forefathers used heart healthy vegetables and olive oil in which to cook them. And now they brought forth deep fried fish and chicken-fried steak so big it needed its own platter.
Result: Man gained more weight and his cholesterol went through the roof
They used a light, fluffy white cake, named it “Angel Food Cake,” and said, “It is good.” Now-a-days we created chocolate cake and named it “Devil’s Food.”
Forefathers used to bring forth running shoes so that their children might lose those extra pounds. Now we gave cable TV with a remote control so Man would not have to toil changing the channels.
Result: Man and Woman laughed and cried before the flickering blue light and gained pounds
Then they brought forth the potato, naturally low in fat and brimming with nutrition. And now we peeled off the healthful skin and sliced the starchy center into chips and deep-fried them.
Result: Man gained pounds
Forefathers then gave lean beef so that Man might consume fewer calories and still satisfy his appetite. And now we created McDonald’s and its 99-cent double cheeseburger. Then said, “You want fries with that?” And Man replied, “Yes! And super size them!” they also said, “It is good.”
Result: Man went into cardiac arrest
After research and development, they created quadruple bypass surgery and we created HMOs.

There is more money being spent on breast implants and Viagra today than On Alzheimer’s research. This means that by 2040, there should be a large elderly population with perky boobs and huge erections and absolutely no recollection of what to do with them. If you don’t tell five friends right away to read this, there will be five fewer people laughing in the world.

Should I say “Well Balanced Moms Are More Fun or Have more fun”? Let me ask you… When was the last time you had lunch with some girl friends, or went on a girl’s night out? When was the last time you went on a romantic weekend getaway with your spouse? If you can’t remember, we definitely have to talk.
It’s so easy to fall into the mommy guilt trap.
We feel guilty if we take time for ourselves, so we end up taking care of everyone in the family but us. It’s easy to lose ourselves in the quest to become Super Mom. Along the way we get stressed out and aggravated. It’s important to do something just for us to stay balanced moms.
Here are some ways for you to get started on your journey to rediscover YOU.
Get together with some girlfriends. One of the best ways to rediscover yourself is to spend some time with your girlfriends each week. Have lunch together, go to the movies to watch the latest chick flick or plan a girl’s night out every once in a while.
If you are having a bad day, call one of your girlfriends to vent or just chat. You’ll be surprised how much better you feel and how it puts things back in perspective that seemed like the end of the world a few minutes ago.
Spend a romantic weekend with your spouse – anywhere but at home. Go away for a romantic weekend with your spouse a few times a year. Rekindle your passion for each other and feel in love again, instead just partners in dealing with the everyday “stuff’ involved in raising kids.
Go on a date every week. Get a sitter once a week and go on a date with your significant other. Spend some time reconnecting with each other. If you have an activity that you both enjoy, take a class together.
Pamper Yourself. Do something every week to pamper yourself.
Go get a new haircut. Visit your favorite nail saloon for a manicure, pedicure or to get your nails done. Call your favorite day spa and schedule a facial. Get a massage.
If you are on a budget, pamper yourself at home. Send Dad and the kids to the park. Take a hot bubble bath and paint you toenails. Honey makes a quick facial.Place a cloth in warm water and apply to your face to open the pores. Smear on honey, and leave on for 15 to 30 minutes. Rinse off with warm water.
Don’t feel guilty about taking time for yourself a few times a week. Your kids will appreciate it when they get a balanced and fun mom in return. You will be more relaxed, happier and actually be able to enjoy your family. After all, that’s why you had kids in the first place, didn’t you?

In general, all men, especially those over the age of 60 and the men that exhibit increased risks of developing breast cancer can minimize the potential for metastasis with early detection by routinely performing a Male Breast Self Exam (MBSE). A monthly self-screening is strongly recommended.
Set aside A Date Every Month To Perform Your Male Breast Cancer Exam
By scheduling a monthly date on your calendar to perform your male breast cancer self exam, it is easier to remember when the screening is due. This allows for easier detection of any normal vs. abnormal breast changes.
Perform Your Own Breast Self Exam In A Shower/Bath
Start by running warm water in the shower. Lather the breast area with either soap or shower gel to generate a soapy, slippery layer on the breast. This allows for an easier examination of the breast by allowing the fingers to slide easily over the skin without any rubbing.
Examine The Texture Of Your Breast
Begin your breast-self-exam for breast cancer by raising your left arm up above your head and rest your left hand on the back of your neck.
Using your right hand, place your index, middle and ring finger together and use these 3 fingers to examine the texture of the left breast. Start by placing the 3 fingers flat on the skin at the outer edge of the left breast. Press down on the 3 fingers and slowly move the fingers in small circles around the entire left breast.
Check Your Nipple
Using your index and ring fingers on the right hand, gently squeeze the left nipple between the fingers and examine any signs of discharge, retraction (drawing inwards towards the body) or puckering of the nipple.
Check Both Sides
To perform your male_breast_cancer_self_exam on the right breast, reverse your hands and repeat the procedures outlined in steps 3 and 4.
Visual Assessment
To complete your breast self exam, rinse the breast off and towel dry. Using a mirror large enough to view both breasts simultaneously, examine them for asymmetry. Be aware of any changes in the skin of the nipple such as a rash, skin puckering and/or dimpling.
